Timothy M. Gaspar is set to retire from his position as Dean of the School of Nursing at Cleveland State University (CSU), effective September 17, 2021. Dean Gaspar joined CSU in July 2016. He brought with him to CSU a record of extensive experience as an academic leader and educator. During his tenure at CSU, he has been a strong leader, innovator and advocate for the School of Nursing (SON) as well as the discipline of nursing at the State and national level.
We greatly appreciate Dean Gaspar’s outstanding contributions and strong leadership to CSU. Clearly, his departure would be a huge loss to the SON and CSU. We wish him the very best in his new endeavors.
Tim is succeeded by Associate Dean Corinne A. Wheeler, who will serve as interim dean as final decisions are made about the future of the school of nursing. We welcome Corinne to her new leadership role as she continues to enhance the SON as well as our university-wide programs in health professions. The School of Nursing has been and will continue to be an integral part of CSU’s vision to become a leading public urban research university with strong programs in health professions.
